In the case of multiple applications for the same cat, a determination will be made on the home best suited to the specific cat.
Approved potential owners complete an adoption contract for the specified cat(s).
There is an adoption donation which is tax deductible.
All adopted cats must go home in a secure carrier.
Adoption Procedures
Cats In Need has a goal of lifetime placement for its rescue cats. Adoption and home requirements are outlined by a Board of Directors who reserve the right to review all adoption applications. The reason for the application is to help ensure that we match up the right cat to the right family.
These procedures reduce the amount of stress the cat goes through and helps them enter into their new home with ease. CIN can help in many ways with introducing a cat into its new environment, however, if at any time the adoption doesn’t work out for any reason, Cats in Need will take the cat back.
